In these pages you will find a range of products and services which may help you to reduce your impact on the environment. The Directory is supported by The Green Blue, a joint environmental initiative by the BMF and RYA.

The Directory aims to provide boating consumers with information and a choice of products which claim to be more environmentally sensitive. The products listed on this site have been carefully selected but neither Sailing Networks nor The Green Blue have undertaken independent testing of the products and therefore cannot endorse the ‘green’ claims made by any company about any product or service.

Products listed on this site fall into one of the following categories.

  • They aim to prevent environmental damage from occurring
  • They aim to minimise environmental damage, mainly through minimal use of harmful ingredients
  • They aim to provide innovative solutions to issues of sustainable development of the marine sector
